Angela M. Kepfer

Marriage & Family Therapy Intern

“Life is an ocean; our job is to learn to surf the waves of life”

My hope for the individuals, couples, and families that I work with is to create lasting change. The insights and chances gain from the therapeutic process become resources and skills that can be accessed indefinitely. Engaging in therapy today will create change for you and your family, not only now but for generations afterwards.

I see my job as one of customer service. I want this experience to be one that feels worthwhile and time well spent. I encourage and seek constructive feedback from my clients to provide the best quality of care.

I have over 10 years of providing counseling/ therapy and over 20 years of providing social services to diverse populations from the ages of 5 to 90+. My therapeutic approach emphasizes evidence-based practices, cultural responsiveness, and trauma-informed care. My entire education and careers focus has focused on equity and social justice by addressing oppression.

In my 10 years, I have worked with many different communities and with symptoms or life events in which therapy is recommended. I have specialized training and work experience with individuals, couples, and families with presenting concerns regarding:

  • Substance use
  • Death/dying
  • Grief and loss
  • Intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Chronic pain
  • Infertility
  • Individuals and their caregivers from ages 5-21
  • Ethical non-monogamy
  • LGBTQIA+ community
  • Stress/trauma
